Near Guanella Pass
in Colorado, I noticed beautiful autumn foliage along the road. I continued to stop on the
side of the road to admire and photograph these bright autumn leaves.
|
Plenty of green remains in this shot, but the sunlight reflected quite nicely on those yellow leaves.
|
On Highway 285 two miles east of Kenosha Pass, the roadside
fall scenery
was stunning. Colorado is mainly known for its yellow foliage, and so to have orange and red foliage in this once
was striking.
|
I stopped at Kenosha Pass, a high mountain area approximately 75 miles southwest of Denver.
I hiked a short distance on this trail, and notice the bright and colorful autumn wonderland at this spot!
|
I love the contrast of yellow autumn leaves
and the hearty bushes producing dark red foliage.
|
Across the highway, the scenery was golden!

A large aspen grove with shimmering fall foliage. |
Various shades of yellow and orange foliage among those trees.
If you desire to do a fall colors tour in Colorado, I suggest passing through Kenosha Pass
(located between Fairplay and Denver) on Highway 285. The photos speak for themselves!
