Beautiful Autumn Leaves and Foliage On An Early October Day
Photos October 2, 2011 - After church, I went out to photograph and enjoy the autumn colors.
I must say, this year has been one of the best for bright fall foliage that I can remember in all
my years living in Colorado. My photo gallery begins with a shot while driving
down Poncha Pass
in southern Colorado. Plenty of
pretty aspens line the highway near the top.
Then I returned to Buena Vista and traveled west into the mountains ... my favorite spot for capturing the autumn colors. Above, I think, is my best shot of the day.
A variety of color and some of the upper mountain ridges that are part of Mount Princeton.
More mountains and more bright foliage. :)
Pretty mountain scenery as I stood on Chaffee County Road 306.
This is approximately eleven miles west of Buena Vista, CO.
A large mish-mash of yellow leaves as I stood in an aspen grove.
