Today we received our first major snowfall for the season in Colorado. Although the calendar technically says it is autumn,
everyone knows winter starts much earlier in the Rocky Mountains. The last few leaves hanging on trees will be off soon, and then
we'll be in skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowman-making season for six plus months!
This first shot is taken on Chaffee County Road 306, located west of Buena Vista, Colorado. Pretty snow on the road.
